Well, we held out on her long enough, but she just couldn't take it any longer. Maddie is loving the "real" food she is getting to eat now! So far she has had green beans, peas, squash, pears, and bananas. Her favorites seem to be squash and pears. I asked her caretakers at day-care to start feeding her oatmeal mixed with whatever fruit and veggies they are having (they puree their own fruit and veggies there) for meals that day. So Mason and Maddie get to have some of the same things to eat each day! She gets so excited when I put her in the high chair and attach the bib around her neck. Her arms start flailing and she opens her mouth.....you know, sort of like Mommy does when she sees red velvet cake....mmmmmm! I think it's so neat that we all get to sit down together and have dinner now. After her dinner she still likes her nighttime bottle and then drifts off to sleep. She has been such a good girl lately!
Mason has had a big eczema flare-up. He has had issues right between his cheeks (no, not the ones on his face) and he has scratched and scratched until he is in great pain and bleeding. Poor little guy. Mommy called the doctor though, and got some special lotion and he is doing much better. How pitiful to see him look at you with a tear in his eye and say, "It hurts, Mommy." Darned eczema!
Mommy is still on the mend from her surgery. I'm doing really well and have returned to work. Hopefully this is it for surgeries for a while. Mommy is tired of not being 100%!!! Hope you are all having a good week. Today is picture day at day-care, so if we get some good pics I'll scan and post them for you to see!
