Still Sick

Little Maddie is still home today. She is slowly but surely getting better. Bless her heart, she has RSV, double ear infection, and thrush all at the same time. She is being so good for being so sick. Her cough is now productive and she is getting all that stuff out of her chest. She is taking antibiotics, diflucan, breathing treatments, and ibuprofen. We've also been keeping the vaporizer running most of the day and all of the night for her while keeping her as upright as possible while she sleeps. Her least favorite thing is getting her nose flushed with saline spray then suctioned with the aspirator. She hasn't had a fever for a couple of days now, so we are going to try day-care tomorrow. Mommy and Daddy have been taking time off work to take care of her. Grandpa Eddie has been coming over to help out as well. We're keeping our fingers crossed that she is on her way back to healthy and will stay there for a while. She has a follow-up appointment with her doctor on Friday, so we hope to get good news.
Mason is doing well. His cough is all but gone and his nose has been clear since the weekend. He is still sleeping and eating - he always has a good appetite! I guess he is like his Momma (it's not "momma"; it's "mommy"!!!) he loves to eat and sleep.
Holden still has a lingering cough, but says he feels well. Mason sure was glad to see his big brother and has been excited to be playing with him these last few days.
I just hope we can all get over the hump before we have to get our family photo taken on Saturday morning. Keep your fingers crossed!!
